About the Event

Lots is said about the benefits of yoga for mental health and wellbeing. But looking at the huge array of contemporary yoga practices, it's easy to be overwhelmed with choice. 

Yoga being "good for you" isn't a given. Making sense of what "self-care" means for each of us - and how yoga can help support our mental health - requires us to take an intelligent look at both theory and practice. 

This workshop will help you to unpack one tool that may help promote mental health via yoga - yoga nidra

We will try and answer the following questions (and any of your own!):

  • what is yoga nidra?
  • why might yoga nidra be helpful? 
  • how does it "work" and who might it help?
  • how does yoga nidra fit more widely in yoga practices and the context of our lives?
  • how do we start to put it into practice?

Taught by James and Olivia, this workshop is 90 minutes long and will require you to have a comfy and quiet spot at home. Cushions and any other props you might use to lay down and relax are welcome but optional. 

All bookings get a recording sent out whether or not you come Live, which you can keep forever, so booking is a fabulous way to get yourself a resource to revisit when you please.
