About the event
Join this informative and positive Webinar as part of Eating Disorders Awareness Week 2021 to learn more about eating disorders!
Highlighting a number of perspectives and some key misconceptions, the speakers will also provide some practical advice and signposting as well as answering questions.
- Kate Robbins is Beat's Clinical Advice Co-ordinator and will give an overview of eating difficulties from a more clinical perspective.
- James Downs is a writer, researcher and policy-maker in eating disorders, who will offer some insight into his own lived experience and positive ways of self-management and helping others.
- Cambridge University students Sarah Barron and Naomi Wilcox will join a Q&A panel event to finish, talking from their own lived experience and answering any questions you may have - big or small - about eating disorders.
Feel free to send in questions in advance or to get in touch with any concerns.
All bookings will receive a Zoom link for joining emailed on the day of the event, and a recording of the event (speakers only) with signposting materials afterwards, whether or not you attend Live. There's no obligation to have your camera on either, if that is a worry.
Tickets are a suggested donation of £5 but if you can't afford it, you can book for free. Alternatively, donate as much as you like by purchasing as many tickets as you please with ALL donations going to Beat - the UK's main eating disorders charity which provide frontline help to people with eating disorders and their carers.
Please share the event and looking forward to seeing you there!
